Principal Scientist

Salary

Research Pay Level-14 Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200/- (equivalent to pre-revised scale PB-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- + RGP of Rs.10,000/-

Educational Qualification

• Doctoral Degree in relevant Subject 10 years of experience in the relevant subject out of which at least 8 years should be as Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension specialist or in an the equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/ Rs.6000/ Rs.7000/ Rs.8000/ equivalent or more remuneration whichever is applicable and 2 years as Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-4 of Rs.37400-67000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.8700/ Rs.9000/ equivalent or more remuneration whichever is applicable.
• The candidate should have made a contribution to research/ teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

Desirable: Research experience in Horticulture crops especially in Temperate Horticultural Crops.

Senior Scientist

Salary

Research Pay Level-13A Rs.1,31,400-2,17,100/- (equivalent to pre-revised scale PB-4 of Rs.37,400-67,000/- + RGP of Rs.9,000/-)

Essential Qualification

• 08 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band-3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (Pay Level 10 in 7th CPC)/ Rs.6000 (UGC Pay Level 10 in 7th CPC)/ Rs.7000 (UGC Pay Level 11 in 7th CPC)/ Rs.8000 (UGC Pay Level 12 in 7th CPC) equivalent or more remuneration, whichever is applicable, having made a contribution to research/ teaching/ extension education as evidenced by published work/ innovations and impact.

OR

• in relevant minimum 08 years experience of high-quality post-doctoral research in an
  institution/ organization as evidenced by at least 6 publications in journals
  with a NAAS rating of 7.5 or above.

Desirable: Experience in the area of design Electronics & Instrumentation/control systems/AI/IoT
