Punjab Police Recruitment for Constable & Sub Inspector 2023

Online applications are invited from Indian citizens for direct Punjab Police Recruitment to fill vacancies of constables and Sub Inspector (except for the vacancies against the sports quota, which shall be filled separately) in the District Police cadre and Armed Cadre of Punjab Police.

The recruitment for filling up of the Constable & Sub Inspector Vacancies in the District Police cadre and Armed Cadre shall be carried out through an Application Form.

Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST) with specified qualifying parameters. Punjab Police Constable and Sub Inspector Syllabus 2023 is also given below.

The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of their respective merit (based strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the Paper I) and normalization, against available category-wise vacancies.

As per the Punjab Govt. Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post Sub-Inspector is Rs. 35,400/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 35,400/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.

Punjab Police Sub Inspector Salary:

As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post Constable is Rs.19,900/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.

Punjab Police Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualification:

Name of the Post	Minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility
Constable Vacancy	10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University. In case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification shall be Matriculation.
Sub-Inspector Vacancy (Armed & District Police Cadre)	Candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university, or its equivalent.Apart from the above-mentioned qualifications, all candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language specified by the Punjab Government.

Selection Process for Punjab Police Recruitment of Constable & Sub-inspector Jobs:

For Sub-Inspector Vacancy:

The selection process shall be a three-stage process consisting of the following stages:

• Stage-I: Stage I will consist of three Computer Based, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Papers viz. Paper I, Paper II and Paper III, of which Paper III shall be qualifying in nature.  (Negative marking for an incorrect answer in Paper I and in Paper II shall be 25% of the marks assigned to a question i.e., 1 mark.)
• Stage-II: Stage II will consist of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.

• Stage-III: Stage III will consist of Document Scrutiny.

For Constable Vacancy:

The selection process shall be a three-stage process comprising of the following stages:

• Stage-I: Stage-I will consist of two Computer Based, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Papers viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature. (No Negative marking for an incorrect answer.)
• Stage-II: Stage-II will consist of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.

• Stage-III: Stage-III will consist of Document Scrutiny.
